#RevPit February #10Queries Event

Although I'm not participating in the #RevPit contest this year, I am going to be part of a special February #10Queries event! This is completely free and is an opportunity for you to receive feedback on your query letter before sending it to agents or publishers.

Writers will enter their names in a Rafflecopter drawing, and the winners will submit their query and first five pages, which will be randomly assigned to an editor. Participating editors will tweet about their assigned submissions using the hashtag #10Queries.

The amazing part of this event is that the #10Queries feedback benefits our entire #RevPit community, not just the winning writers. So even if you're not selected to submit your pages and query letter, be sure to follow along with the #10Queries tweets. Chances are good that you'll find feedback that applies to your work.

Okay, on to the details (from the Revise & Resubmit website):

Friday, February 8th: Contest drawing opens for writers. Writers will enter through Rafflecopter (access at the bottom of the main event page. It will not be active until February 8th).
- The drawing will close at 11:59pm, Eastern time on Friday.
- To be eligible to win, writers can only enter through Rafflecopter.
Saturday, February 9th: Winners will be notified via email. They will then be asked to send their query/five pages to the RevPit email account.
Winners must email their materials to the Revise & Resub email address no later than 11:00AM EST on Monday the 11th. In order to provide enough time for editors to read all materials, no late submissions will be accepted.
Monday, February 11th: Thursday, February 14th: Editors will review the submission packages.
Friday, February 15th: Editors will share their #10queries throughout the day! Winners will not be named in the tweets. Editors will email writers separately to notify which #10Queries tweet was theirs.

Friday, February 15 (Eastern Time)
